Beat Dad Tic Tac Toe

Tic Tac Toe – Announcing Beat Dad Tic Tac Toe!

The story of Chicken Hill Designs, Beat Dad Games and Safely Stow should probably be told. However I prefer it be unpacked after experiencing some modicum of success to avoid the telling of a cautionary tale of entrepreneurial insanity.

For context, I do need to share some back-story.  I resigned from an executive position at a large company to reset my mindset and just to spend some time learning and growing. One area that has always interested me, and I felt I had some aptitude for, was programming. I really wish I had taken more coding classes in college.  So I decided to take my time off to re-learn how to code.

In learning how to code, specifically in Dart with Flutter, I decided to launch a fun idea I had early on in my fatherhood journey. Sitting at Outback Steakhouse with my toddler kids, and waiting for our food, inevitably involves using the kid menu puzzles and games, and then downloading a nice app of Tic Tac Toe or Checkers.  Whenever I played these board games with the kids, I’d observe how they began to recognize patterns and develop in their learning of game “strategy.” I had to let them win for them to have a chance, but whenever I did that, it didn’t really help them learn.

So I thought it would be a fun concept to give kids hints and helps so that they can have advantages over dad to allow them to compete and learn, and dad can try to win as hard as he can.  That was where the Beat Dad Games concept came from.  However, I didn’t do anything with that concept for quite a while.

Fast forward to my year of learning, and I figured that learning to code, and developing a couple of these very simple games would be a great place to start.  I could be learning to code and actually developing a product to release at the same time.  Tic Tac Toe is the first of those launches.

Download Beat Dad Tic Tac Toe for free!  I’d really appreciate your support in paying for the upgrade to the full version of course.  However, you can watch a rewarded ad to get the full version for free for a few minutes.  Any bug reports, suggestion and feedback are very welcome!
